St James Primary School, Zongoro

Aid2Africa.co.uk currently sponsors 100 children at St James. More than 1 in 4  are orphans. The rest have already suffered the loss of  a parent. Many of these will be orphans before they leave school. All are vulnerable children at serious risk of having to stop going to school because the carers or parents can no longer find the money to pay the fees.
The grade 7 children will move to St James secondary school in January, the start of the new school year. We will be offering to continue sponsoring them through their secondary education so they can study for GCSE "O" level then "A" levels where appropriate.
We will be providing funding for a number of children who join the school into grade 1. A review of the circumstances of all sponsored children is made annually. We may well find that there are additional children in need of sponsorship within the school.
We need more regular giving to ensure we can continue to give these children the chance they deserve.
