Toys and other items collected for orphans and other vulnerable children in Zimbabwe

While we concentrate on sustainable projects we were touched by the almost total absence of toys for the children to play with. This is the response to that need.

Please consider raising funds to go with the toys. It costs nearly £2 a kilo to ship the toys out to the children in Africa
More toys plus some books and some clothing were collected by our friends at World Cargo International and shipped out in December 2007
As the December items were arriving in Zimbabwe two of the team were busy collecting even more toys to send out this spring. toys for orphans in Zimbabwe toys for orphans in Zimbabwe toys for orphans in Zimbabwe toys for orphans in Zimbabwe

Below are boxes filled with soft toys. The toys have been sorted and ones which are unsuitable have been taken to be sold to raise money to help cover the shipping costs.

The Inner Wheel organisation also supports international charities like ours. The blankets came from Nuneaton's  Arbury club
